The
Taj Mahal is not only beauty full from outside
but from inside, it is reflecting the true essence of Art and architect,
while enter inside the Taj Mahal one can see mesmerizing magical
aura of the structure. The Mahal is wonderfully designed and is well
decorated with garden and pond. The Mahal is actually situated 900
ft. (275 m.) away from the entrance at the opposite end of the garden
which is giving wide view of the entire surroundings. The Mahal is
designed using white marble so come can see the towering height of
almost 200 ft. (76m.) And the tomb stands on its own marble plinth.
Moreover, the Mahal is surrounded by four tall minarets of the height
of 138 which rise up from the corners of the white marble platform.
The interior shape of the hall is octagonal which is 58' in diameter
and 80' in height from the pavement to the soffit (first ceiling).
The inside structure is occupied with four rooms on the sides and
is rectangular. The four octagonal rooms at the corners and all are
interconnected through passages and wonderful view to the entire
interior.
The shining corridors on the ground floor are well connected from
the main hall with the corner rooms which is also beautifully designed
and decorated using various precious stones.
The southern side barring all the other sides have been closed with
screens which is separated into small compartments and these compartments
are filled with glass piece from all the external sides of the tomb
and upper storey. The glass pieces show astonishing standardization
which is been very skillfully designed and decorated by various designers
and artisans. The glass designs are excellent and are showing slightly
milky color which gives natural translucent look.
The mortuary hall is presenting the great architecture finish and
is perfect example of art and design medieval architecture. The designs
are borders in inlaid conventionalized motifs which are making the
entire art work more appealing and eye catching. An exquisitely developed
marble jail screen (called Jhajjhari) enfolds the monument which
is graceful designed and reflecting the fantastic work of Mughal
kingdom. The bodies of Mumtaz and Shah Jahan were places on plain
crypt under the inner chamber and their face turned right and towards
Mecca which is religious palace of Muslims and is a birth place of
prophet Muhammad who born in 570. |
